Baroque music for Easter and Pentecost by J.S. Bach and contemporaries, performed by historical chamber orchestra with four of Perth’s finest vocalists.
Highlighting Bach’s sacred cantata Erwünschtes Freudenlicht (Light of Joy, BWV 184), the programme also features compositions by Pachelbel and Wilhelmine von Bayreuth. Together, these works tell the Christian stories of Easter and Pentecost, celebrating Christ’s resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.
Featuring singers Bonnie de la Hunty (soprano), Katie How (alto), Kieran Lynch (tenor), and Kris Bowtell (bass); Baroque flute soloist Robin Hillier, and concertmaster Sarah Papadopoulos, together with an ensemble of leading Baroque instrumentalists including flutes, strings, harpsichord and chamber organ.

Set in Fremantle's historic Victoria Hall, experience a veritable feast of glorious repertoire from Monteverdi, Corelli, Frescobaldi, Strozzi, and more.
Featuring Bonnie de la Hunty (soprano), Sarah Papadopoulos and Eliza McCracken (violins), Krista Low (viola da gamba), Alexis Chong (theorbo/guitar), James Huntingford (harpsichord), and Jet Kye Chong (percussion).
